During October 2010 we will be holding another week of Noise events, this time called The Noise : The Big Invite.
A whole week of events to invite friends and family members to - see the Events Calendar for dates and times. We will host some great live entertainment in the atmosphere of Café Max. We will also be offering practical help to the community of Castle Point, as well as being on the streets talking to people.
The Noise is all about the Church engaging with the local community through words and actions. The Noise is an initiative started by Soul Survivor and over the years we have adapted this idea to cover different aspects of work within the community.
In the past we have decorated residential homes, organised a car wash, decorated changing rooms in our local school, refurbished toilets at another school, litter picked and helped many local residents with practical jobs. We hope to demonstrate God's love for people through these acts of kindness.
In April 2010 we hosted two weeks over the Easter Holidays which we called The Noise : Unleashed when we engaged with people of all ages. People opened up their homes to invite neighbours for dinner, others went into local residential homes as well as talking and offering support to neighbours. We hosted craft mornings for children and various events at the church in the evening.
