Disabled Christian Fellowship (DCF)

The Disabled Christian Fellowship group (Through the Roof) at TCC serves disabled Christians in bringing people together regularly, creating a bond of friendship and fellowship. Typically, a group meeting contains worship, a Christian message, prayer and, of course, a chat and some refreshments. The DCF usually meets monthly on a Saturday, for meeting dates look at the Calendar of Events

We try to provide transport to and from the meeting when required, volunteers for this worthwhile ministry would be most welcome.

Often educating the church about disability and access issues the DCF is a positive way of serving disabled people and integrating them into church life.

Through the Roof is a Christian disability ministry working in partnership with churches and other organisations to promote access and inclusion of disabled people in every area of church life. Their objective is to make the Christian message accessible to people affected by disability. Their programme Disabled Christians Fellowship provides fellowship for disabled Christians, runs accessible holidays and supports local branches amongst other things.

Why are they called Through the Roof?

The Bible tells a story of four men who took a paralysed man to Jesus. They couldn’t get in the room and lowered him through the roof. It was the partnership between disabled and non-disabled people that made it possible for that man to meet Jesus. Through the Roof seeks to work in partnership with disabled and non-disabled people to make the Gospel accessible.
